After a statement on the Official WoW Forums ,changing faction on World of Warcraft is no longer a dream. Well you still have to wait though. But after the new service is released, you can change your faction from Horde to Alliance and  vice versa. But i believe there will be some condition that must met to be able to do so. Nevertheless, this is a great news for you who have friends on the other faction
